Mariana Serrano

Mariana Serrano, MPH is a passionate public health practitioner committed to advancing health equity and racial justice in medicine. Within the last three years, she has worked with government nonprofit agencies and non-profit organizations, hospitals, academic institutions, and communities on various projects focused on building capacity for advancing equity through the development of diverse and inclusive partnerships and research. She previously served as a Research Project Manager at Boston Medical Center’s Pediatrics Department. Mariana is also a Master’s in Public Health graduate from Boston University School of Public Health. She now currently serves an independent Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) consultant and DEIB Specialist and Program Manager at the Office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at UMass Memorial Health where she supports the implementation and management a broad spectrum of DEIB programs and initiatives.
